BIO
Beth grew up on a beautiful little farm near Dubuque, Iowa, where every animal on the farm was a pet and not a future meal. It was the perfect environment for a daydreamer and budding writer. Beth lived in Colorado for several years, but eventually returned to her Iowa roots. She currently lives near Des Moines with her family and a menagerie of rescue pets. When she's not writing or reading, Beth enjoys the outdoors, working with her horse, and playing the guitar.
Beth's work has been published in Ponder Review, The Ocotillo Review, Santa Clara Review, Miracle Monocle, Bending Genres, and Adelaide's Best of 2020 Anthology. Her manuscript, Silent Echo, won first place in the Somerset Awards for Contemporary and Literary Fiction. It was also a finalist in the Faulkner-Wisdom writing contest. Beth is thrilled to be a fellowship recipient for Martha's Vineyard Institute of Creative Writing's 2021 writers residency and conference.
